You may remember that a few days ago Indian Air Force (IAF) had warned air force members that they should not use Xiaomi smartphones because they transfer the user data to servers located in China. Shortly after the warning Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra had stated in a blog post that security of users’ data has always been a priority of the company and data of Indian users is being transferred to servers located outside of China. The timing of Barra’s comment obviously suggests that it was a reply to the warning issued by IAF. However, today Xiaomi has issued another clarification regarding that.
